Xena Prop Collectors Forum and Mini-Exhibit

Barbie Arms (of the Xena Prop House Newsletter) and I are organizing a X:WP props and costume collector's forum at the January Burbank Xena Convention. We don't have a date or time as of yet, but I just wanted to give people a head's up that we are going to do this. At this point, it is a panel discussion about collecting X:WP props and costumes -- topics to be announced in the near future. We are hoping to expand the collector community participation in the network and share knowledge and information about the props that we love. Creation has posted a blurb on their convention website, but there are no details there, either. We will have a few items on display to highlight a couple of discussion topics. If you are an experienced collector, or a newbie, and you plan to be at the Burbank 2008 convention, consider joining the discussion. Hope to see you there!

I just discovered your blog a few days ago and have enjoyed reading about collecting props. I've collected replicas, mostly LOTR, no Xena replicas yet. I'm rather new to the Xenaverse having just watched Xena (via DVDs) for the first time in Dec 2006. I'm looking forward to the prop discussion in Burbank. Take care.

Thanks for your comments. There are some really good Xena reproductions out there, especially the ones sold originally by Creation, as those repros were made by the prop people in NZ who worked on X:WP and H:TLJ. But all of those items are now "after market" -- you see them pop up on ebay frequently. The chakrams, in particular, are beautiful and well-made.
