Todd's Costumes at WonderCon Last Weekend
I attended WonderCon this year and it was my first time at this particular convention. 3-day badges were only $50 and you could get a large chain hotel room for $119/night, so this is one of the more affordable comic book conventions to attend. I considered it a "Lite" Comic-Con: the exhibitor floor a smaller version of the one in San Diego and there is less programming for 3 days rather than 4 (plus Preview Night). Still, you could fill your schedule well into the evening for both Friday and Saturday. Produced by the same company that does the SDCC, it has the same look and feel as the much larger convention that will be held later in the year.
I noted that costuming has become a really big activity. I just read elsewhere that costuming is most attractive to Millennials, and most of those I saw in costume did fit that generational description, including these three women wearing costumes from our favorite "Ancient Greek Television Show of the 90s." Todd's Costumes makes very nice costumes for the serious costumer (and their cost will have you seriously thinking about how to afford them) and as you can see here, my friend Carol never misses a Xena-related photo op.
