Tomorrow is our big blowout Xena Party -- the spawn, actually, of the Southern California XenaFests (or SCXFs, as they were known). This is technically SCXF11 for anyone who cares, and SCXF6 was our last public XenaFest. Fests 7 through 11 have been private gatherings at whatever house I am occupying at the time.
So we are decorating in a festively "Xena-esque" way. I brought out an original painting by Dave DeVries, seen on the easle on the right with the Dynamic Forces oversized print that was sold for a time. You can't see from this shot, but the image for the print was flipped 180 degrees, putting Xena on the right side of the image, rather than the left side as in the original painting.
We're excited to have the Xena Gang back together again -- we note that this is the 10th summer that Southern California fans have gathered to honor the Warrior Princess and her sidekick. I'll post Fest pictures and commentary on my props site (see links on the right). Below is a shot of the entryway towards the left, so you can see that yes, we still have standees that well, stand-up. Battle on!
