Searching for Xena Stuff on ebay Isn't What it Used to Be

Have you noticed that just searching ebay using "Xena" as your search term nets you a bunch of items that aren't about Xena: Warrior Princess at all? Here are a few examples:

Because I'm usually searching for original costumes or props, I tend to use "Xena" in the search box and then sort the results with the highest priced items first. My logic is that original props and costumes will be the most expensive items in the "Xena" category. But this is almost never the case, as these AJA computer boards are always at the top of the search results these days. Who knew that Rossignol has a women's ski boot model called "Xena" or that Bebe would produce a dress called "Xena" (it's not Xena-esque in any way). And then there are the 3 dozen or so auctions for a "Xena" motorcycle disc alarm (I have no idea if it screams "ay yi yi yi!" but I really think it should). "Xena" has become a popular marketing term in ways Xena fans never conceived (based on my unscientific ebay search results -- and hey, you thought the Taste of Honey Cereal thing was out there!). 11 out of 38 items on the first page of my search results are not Xena: Warrior Princess items at all -- that's almost 30%.

And it's not just the higher priced items either -- mid-range is where you see the ski boots and motorcycle alarms and on the low end you find the "Xena" torso mannequins. OK, sure, you might need a 3/4 torso mannequin to display one of your costumes, but naming the model "Xena"?

On the flip side are the "Xena" items that are listed as "Zena" items:
